v. t. nayani (9'knee, she/her) is a working tamil artist and producer, with dreams of creating borderless heart work, within and beyond our little-big galaxy. she is currently based in Tkaronto/Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat people. it is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

at the centre of nayani's craft is care for her multiple communities. for over a decade, she's been weaving the elements and creating new worlds in cinema, television, and digital playgrounds. through her heartwork, based in both truth and imagination, nayani explores what it looks and feels like to come of age, at every age and stage of one's lifetime. at the root of it all, she is always trying to make stuff that makes us feel stuff.

nayani is also a hatha and restorative yoga teacher (CYT-200) working with Brown Girls Yoga, and a full-circle doula committed to reproductive justice. she is ever-grateful to her ancestors, elders, guides, and comrades, for helping ensure that she continues to reach the here, now, and beyond.
